Zoning is why most systems waste water
A lawn in full sun and a shaded bed want completely different amounts of water, and on one zone somebody loses. Pressure matters just as much: put more heads on a zone than the flow can supply and every one of them throws short, which is where the dry rings between sprinklers come from. Measuring first is what stops a system from being wrong the day it's finished.
The wet corner is not a plant problem
If a part of the garden is soggy for weeks, no amount of replanting fixes it. Water is arriving faster than it can leave — often a downspout emptying beside the house, compacted soil, or ground that falls the wrong way. That's a drainage job, and it comes before the planting decision, not after.
How to judge an irrigation quote
Ask where the water actually lands. A coverage check is simple: set some straight-sided cups around the lawn, run a zone, and see how uneven the fill is. Ask how many zones, what's on each, and what happens before the first hard freeze, because lines and backflow devices left full of water are the most expensive kind of forgotten.

Irrigation & Drainage: common questions
How do I know if my sprinklers are covering the lawn?
Put a few straight-sided cups out across the lawn and run one zone. If some cups are near full and others barely wet, your coverage is uneven, and the thin patches in the grass will usually line up with the empty cups.
Do I need drainage, or just better plants?
It depends on how long the water stays. Ground that drains within a day will grow most things; ground that's wet for weeks will kill them whatever you plant. We check it and tell you which one you've got.
Can you work on the system that's already here?
Usually. Most calls are broken or sunken heads, a zone that won't open, or a layout that never covered properly. We'd rather repair and re-aim what's there than sell you a new system you don't need.
