Cleared and fixed are not the same thing
Almost any clog can be punched through. The question is what made it, because a line that blocks every few months has something in it that keeps catching — roots at a joint, a dip where water stands, a build-up of grease, or broken pipe. Clearing that again buys you a few weeks. We would rather clear it and then find out why, so you can decide what to do with real information.
What the camera is actually for
A camera is worth running when a drain has blocked more than once, when several fixtures back up together, or when we need to know how far out the trouble sits before anyone talks about digging. You watch the screen with us and we note the distance down the line. If your drain clogged once because of what went down it, you do not need a camera, and we will say so.
What the drains can and cannot take
Kitchen lines die of grease, which goes down warm and sets up like candle wax on the pipe wall. Bathroom lines die of hair and wipes, and wipes labeled flushable do not break down the way paper does. Chemical drain cleaner mostly sits on top of the clog, heats up, and goes to work on your pipe instead. Hot water and a strainer do more good than anything sold in a bottle.

Drains & Clogs: common questions
Should I try a store-bought drain cleaner first?
We would rather you did not. It often fails to reach the clog, and it sits in the pipe attacking the metal or plastic while it waits. It also has to come back out onto somebody when the drain gets opened. A plunger and hot water are safe to try.
Why does the same drain keep clogging?
Because something about the line keeps catching debris — roots at a joint, a low spot holding water, scale, or a crack. That is the case where a camera pays for itself, since it shows which one you have instead of guessing again.
All my drains are slow at once. Is that different?
Usually yes. One slow fixture is normally local to that fixture. Several at once, or a toilet bubbling when the washer drains, points at the main line the whole house shares. Tell us which fixtures are doing it and we will know where to start.
