Repiping

Galvanized and failing poly replaced whole-house, sequenced so you are never left without water overnight.

New water lines run neatly through open stud walls during a repipe

What is actually happening in those pipes

Galvanized steel rusts from the inside out. The opening narrows with scale until the shower upstairs runs thin, the water comes out brown after a trip away, and pinholes start turning up in places that have nothing to do with each other. That last part is the tell: one leak is a repair. Leaks appearing in unrelated spots mean the pipe itself has reached the end, and patching it one hole at a time gets expensive faster than people expect.

A repipe is mostly access, not pipe

The pipe is the cheap part. The work is getting to it — which walls open, whether there is an attic or a crawlspace to run through, and how the new lines reach each fixture without carving up the house. That is why two repipe quotes can look nothing alike. When you compare two of them, check whether drywall patching is in the price, who pulls the permit, and whether new shut-off valves at the fixtures are included — those three lines explain most of the gap between the numbers.

Living in the house while it happens

Most repipes happen with people still living there. We sequence the work so the water is back on before the end of the day, and we tell you in advance which bathroom or sink is out of action on which day. There will be dust and there will be open walls for a stretch. You get that schedule before we start so you can plan around it.

Simple & clear

How A Call Goes

  1. 01

    You Get A Person

Not a form, not a callback window. If it is an emergency we will talk you through the shut-off while we are getting to you.

  2. 02

    We Look At It Properly

Including the parts nobody enjoys — under the house, behind the panel, down the line with a camera when it matters.

  3. 03

    You Get The Price First

A flat rate for the job, agreed before we start, and no evening or weekend premium. If a second problem turns up you hear it then, not on the invoice.

  4. 04

We Fix It And Clean Up

Floors protected, water tested, and the space left the way we found it. You see it working before we pack the van.

Questions

Repiping: common questions

How do I know I need a whole repipe instead of a repair?

One leak in an otherwise sound system is a repair. Pinholes in unrelated places, water pressure that has dropped across the whole house, and rusty water at several taps point at the pipe rather than at any one spot. We tell you which pattern yours fits before quoting either.

Do you have to open up the walls?

Some openings are unavoidable, but how many depends on the house. Where there is attic or crawlspace access, a lot of the run happens out of sight. We plan the access points before we start and show you where they will be.

Can we stay in the house during a repipe?

Most people do. Water goes back on at the end of each day, and you get a plan saying which fixtures are down when. If your household cannot work around that, say so early and we will sequence it differently.
